You too could use the Lord’s Prayer as guidance to pray. This Prayer can be broken down into 4 parts:

1. Praise
Start your daily prayer with praise and worship to God. It could be reading a Psalm aloud, sing a praise song or as simple as telling God how great and wonderful He is and how grateful you are for having him in your life.

2. Repent
Before you start asking God for anything, confess your sins to God and humbly ask for forgiveness and restoration of heart and mind. Besides, make sure to not bear any grudge against someone in your heart. Jesus said in Matthew 6:14 that in order for God to forgive you, you should forgive others first.

3. Ask
Now, present your request to God. It could be anything for yourself or others. Jesus told us in Matthew 7:7-12 to ask and that it will be given to us.

4. Yield
The last step is to believe and yield to the will of God. Close your prayer with thanksgiving and praising God for his ability to answer prayers and his miracle-working power. Affirm your believe in him and confirm to him that you’ll wait for him and that you’ll yield to his will whatever it is.
