6. Did you know you’re reading the best-selling book in history? As of 2014, more than 5 billion Bibles have been sold. In the U.S. alone approx. 170,000 Bibles are either sold or given away every day.

7. Oh… and people steal it all the time. Some bookstore owners claim that the Bible is the world’s most shoplifted book. Hey, what happened to: Thou shalt not steal?
8. It can be found in almost every home. About 88% of American households own a Bible. Thank you Lord Jesus.
9. The Bible is the only book in the world that is read by people of all races, ages and economic levels.
10. It challenges the greatest minds. Many people have tried to learn it and interpret it for thousands of years.
11. Loved by many, but also the most hated book in history. A lot of people have lost their lives because they own it. Kings and governments have sought to burn and abolish it. Yet God has preserved it for us today.
An interesting fact is that the French philosopher, Voltaire, boasted that within 100 years of his death the Bible would disappear. He died in 1778 and as of 2014 the Bible is still here. The irony is that after Voltaire’s death the French Bible Society used his house to print thousands of Bibles.
