5. Romans 8:37-39
No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1. John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Reflection
Where would we be today, if it wasn’t for love? God the Father created the Universe out of love – every planet, every shining star, the Sun and the Moon, the waters above the skies, the oceans and all sea creatures, snow and clouds, the stormy winds, every mountain, every wild animal and every bird.
He also created us, humans, and gave us a free will, even though He knew we would rebel against Him. After we fell into sin, He didn’t give up on us. His ultimate proof of love was shown by sending His only Son to die for us and give us an escape from the doom we deserve.
What if we stop loving each other?
There would be no nurturing, no caring, no guiding, no fellowship, no forgiveness, no reconciliation, no harmony, no intimacy, no friendship. The list just goes on and on.
And now, what if God stops loving us? The Moon will disappear while the Sun won’t appear anymore. The seas will dry up and the rain will be no more. The Earth and the whole Universe will cease to exist. Yes, all creation will melt away because life cannot sustain itself.
It’s the mighty hand of God that gives and takes.
However, we don’t have to worry about a sudden destruction of the human race – Christian and non-Christian – because the Bible tells us that we serve a faithful(1 Corinthians 1:9) and loving(1 John 4:8) God. He cannot lie and that’s why He’ll always fulfill His promises to those who believe in Him(Hebrews 10:23).
How about you?
How much do you love yourself? Do you love your friends and family? What about those who hurt you?
